Media Orientation on Gender Responsive Advocacy and Reporting

LACC organized Media Orientation for the Media personnel and Journalists of Sarlahi through an online platform on Gender Responsive Advocacy and reporting. The main objective of the orientation is to raise the awareness among media persons on key issues related to women and excluded groups in the respective district, including the issues related to the COVID-19 context; along with strengthening the advocacy of GWOs/CBWOs through networking with and use of media. The 4 days orientation session started on 7th September 2020 which lasts till 10th. The Day 1 session were focused on the concept of Gender and Gender Responsive justice along with Feminism; Gender Responsive Reporting and Overview of CEDAW along with its intersection with media which was facilitated by Anita Neupane Thapalia- Executive Chairperson of LACC, Anita Bindu- Media Personality and Bandana Rana-Vice Chair of UN CEDAW Committee. The program was conducted under the project "Enhancing Access to Justice for Women" which is supported by UN Women.
