The USAID Community Justice Project was launched on January 8, 2025, by Hon. Chief Minister, Satish Kumar Singh from the Madhesh province and Ms. Karen Welch, Deputy Mission Director of USAID. The event brought together stakeholders from federal, provincial , and local governments (Madhesh and Lumbini), and justice sector actors. This initiative aims to enhance access to justice for women, youth, and marginalized communities while fostering an inclusive local justice system like Judicial Committees. Supported by USAID and implemented by LACC in partnership with local organizations, it will operate across 18 municipalities in 8 districts for five years.
