The Legal Aid and Consultancy Center (LACC) stand as a beacon of hope and justice for Nepal’s most vulnerable and marginalized women and children. With an unwavering commitment to equality, dignity, and human rights, LACC extends its services to women, children, the LGBTQ+ community, persons with disabilities, and other disadvantaged groups who are too often silenced, overlooked, discriminated against, or denied access to justice.
Recognizing the deep-rooted social, economic, and legal barriers these communities face, LACC provides free legal aid, counseling, advocacy, and awareness programs designed to empower individuals to assert their rights and live with dignity. From addressing gender based violence and domestic abuse to supporting cases of discrimination, inheritance, and property rights, the organization works tirelessly to ensure that justice is not a privilege, but a fundamental right accessible to all.
Through inclusive, community-driven initiatives and partnerships with civil society, LACC not only defends the legal rights of the marginalized but also strives to reform the systems that perpetuate inequality. It envisions a society where every individual regardless of gender identity, ability, caste, or background has equal access to justice and the opportunity to live a safe, respected, and empowered life.

The Legal Aid and Consultancy Center (LACC) is deeply committed to protecting and promoting the rights of women across Nepal. For decades, LACC has been a powerful advocate for gender justice, offering free legal services through Women’s Rights Helpline, psychosocial support, referrals, and legal education to women facing discrimination, violence, and injustice. From cases of gender-based violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, property disputes, divorce, workplace harassment, to social exclusion, LACC stands beside women particularly those from marginalized, discriminated, and vulnerable communities, providing not only legal representation but also hope, dignity, and a voice.
By equipping women with legal knowledge and supporting them throughout their legal journey, LACC helps break cycles of silence and fear. Through advocacy, legal reform, and awareness programs, the organization strives to build a society where women are not only protected by law but are respected, heard, and equally valued. LACC envisions a future where all women live free from violence and inequality, with justice accessible to every woman regardless of her social, economic, or cultural background.
LACC firmly believes in the leadership of women and girls from the household to society and across all levels of government. To this end, LACC designs and implements diverse programs to nurture women’s leadership, including leadership development training, mentoring, clinical legal education, and capacity-building initiatives in legal, political, and institutional spheres.
LACC also advances empowerment through agency-building initiatives such as women’s empowerment committees, paralegal committees, survivor empowerment programs, and grassroots women’s organizations and groups, ensuring that women’s voices shape justice and governance at every level.

Legal Aid and Consultancy Center (LACC) is firmly committed to safeguarding the rights and well-being of children across Nepal. Recognizing that children are among the most vulnerable members of society, LACC provides specialized legal support, protection, and advocacy to ensure that every child can grow up in a safe, just, and nurturing environment. The organization works tirelessly to address issues such as child abuse, child marriage, trafficking, child labor, neglect, and denial of education, problems that continue to affect thousands of children, especially in marginalized communities. By offering free legal aid and representation, LACC ensures that children and their guardians can access justice without fear or financial burden.
Beyond legal intervention, LACC also engages in awareness campaigns and community outreach to educate families, schools, and institutions about children’s rights, child protection laws, and the importance of creating child-friendly spaces. Through collaboration with stakeholders and government bodies, LACC advocates stronger policies and better implementation of child rights frameworks. Its child-focused programs are built on compassion, accountability, and empowerment, aiming to give every child the opportunity to live a life free from harm, full of promise, and rich with opportunity. For LACC, protecting children is not just a legal obligation, it is a moral duty and a crucial step toward building a just and inclusive society.
LGBTQ+ समुदायहरू
कानूनी सहयोग तथा परामर्श केन्द्र (ल्याक) नेपालमा LGBTQ+ समुदायको अधिकार र मर्यादाको लागि एक बलियो सहयोगी र वकालतकर्ता हो। विविध यौन झुकाव र लैङ्गिक पहिचान भएका व्यक्तिहरूले प्रायः भेदभाव, कलंक, हिंसा र बहिष्कारको सामना गर्ने समाजमा, ल्याकले सुरक्षित र सहयोगी ठाउँ प्रदान गर्दछ जहाँ उनीहरूले डर बिना न्याय खोज्न सक्छन्। नि:शुल्क कानुनी सहायता, परामर्श र वकालत मार्फत, ल्याकले LGBTQ+ व्यक्तिहरूको अधिकारको रक्षा गर्न काम गर्दछ - चाहे यसमा पहिचान-आधारित हिंसा, पारिवारिक अस्वीकृति, कार्यस्थल भेदभाव, कानुनी मान्यता, वा आधारभूत सेवाहरूको अस्वीकार जस्ता मुद्दाहरू समावेश छन्।
ल्याकले LGBTQ+ व्यक्तिहरूको लागि समानताको संघर्ष कानुनी प्रतिनिधित्वभन्दा बाहिर जान्छ भन्ने कुरा स्वीकार गर्दछ। त्यसैले यो संस्था यौन तथा लैङ्गिक अल्पसंख्यकहरूको अधिकारलाई पुष्टि गर्ने समावेशी कानुनी सुधारहरूलाई प्रवर्द्धन गर्न, समुदायहरूलाई संवेदनशील बनाउन र समावेशी कानुनी सुधारहरूलाई प्रवर्द्धन गर्न गहिरो रूपमा संलग्न छ। ग्रासरुट कार्यकर्ताहरू, नागरिक समाज र मानव अधिकार रक्षकहरूसँग साझेदारी गरेर, ल्याकले LGBTQ+ आवाजहरूलाई बढावा दिन्छ र कानुनी, राजनीतिक र सामाजिक स्थानहरूमा उनीहरूको सुनुवाइ सुनिश्चित गर्दछ।
करुणा, साहस र प्रतिबद्धताका साथ, ल्याकले एउटा यस्तो नेपालको परिकल्पना गर्दछ जहाँ सबैजना - उनीहरू जो कोही हुन् वा जसलाई माया गर्छन् - गर्व, समानता र न्यायका साथ बाँच्न सक्छन्। केन्द्रले LGBTQ+ समुदायको दृश्यता, सम्मान र कानून अन्तर्गत उनीहरूको मानव अधिकारको पूर्ण सुरक्षाको लागि उनीहरूको लडाईमा उनीहरूको साथमा उभिन जारी राखेको छ।
अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरू
कानूनी सहयोग तथा परामर्श केन्द्र (ल्याक) अधिकार र समावेशीकरणलाई अगाडि बढाउन गहिरो प्रतिबद्ध छ अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरू नेपालमा। अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूले प्रायः सामना गर्ने भेदभाव र बहिष्करणका बहु तहहरू - चाहे सामाजिक, आर्थिक, कानुनी, वा संस्थागत - लाई पहिचान गर्दै ल्याकले उनीहरूलाई न्यायमा पहुँच गर्न र समाजमा आफ्नो उचित स्थान दाबी गर्न मद्दत गर्न नि:शुल्क कानुनी सहायता, प्रतिनिधित्व र वकालत प्रदान गर्दछ। पहुँच, शिक्षा, रोजगारी, उत्तराधिकार अधिकार, भेदभाव र दुर्व्यवहार सम्बन्धी मुद्दाहरूदेखि लिएर समावेशी कानून र नीतिहरूको लागि लड्नेसम्म, ल्याक शारीरिक, मानसिक, संवेदी र बौद्धिक अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूको साथ दृढतापूर्वक उभिन्छ।
ल्याकले व्यक्तिगत कानुनी मुद्दाहरूलाई मात्र सम्बोधन गर्दैन तर अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूको अधिकारको बारेमा जागरूकता जगाउन, हानिकारक सामाजिक मनोवृत्तिलाई चुनौती दिन र प्रणालीगत परिवर्तनलाई प्रवर्द्धन गर्न सक्रिय रूपमा काम गर्दछ। सामुदायिक पहुँच, कानुनी साक्षरता कार्यक्रमहरू, र नीति वकालत मार्फत, ल्याकले अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूलाई उनीहरूको अधिकार बुझ्न र अन्याय विरुद्ध बोल्न सशक्त बनाउँछ। संस्थाले अन्य सरोकारवालाहरूसँग पनि सहकार्य गर्दछ ताकि सरकार र सार्वजनिक संस्थाहरूले राष्ट्रिय कानून र अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूको अधिकार सम्बन्धी संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघको महासन्धि (CRPD) जस्ता अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय महासन्धिहरूमा उल्लिखित समानता र समावेशीकरणका सिद्धान्तहरूलाई कायम राखून्।
मर्यादा, सम्मान र समानतालाई केन्द्रमा राखेर, ल्याकले एउटा भविष्यको परिकल्पना गर्दछ जहाँ अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूलाई जीवनका सबै पक्षहरूमा पूर्ण रूपमा समावेश गरिन्छ — जहाँ उनीहरूको आवाज सुनिन्छ, उनीहरूको अधिकार सुरक्षित हुन्छ, र उनीहरूको क्षमतालाई मान्यता दिइन्छ र मनाइन्छ।
अन्य सीमान्तकृत व्यक्तिहरू
कानूनी सहयोग तथा परामर्श केन्द्र (ल्याक) न्याय, समानता र मानव अधिकारको प्रवर्द्धन गर्न समर्पित छ सीमान्तकृत व्यक्ति र समुदायहरू नेपालभरि। यसमा दलित, आदिवासी समूह (जनजाति), मधेसी, भौगोलिक रूपमा दुर्गम वा आर्थिक रूपमा विपन्न क्षेत्रका मानिसहरू, र जाति, जातीयता, धर्म, भाषा, वा सामाजिक आर्थिक स्थितिका कारण सामाजिक रूपमा बहिष्कृत व्यक्तिहरू समावेश छन्। यी समूहहरूले प्रायः प्रणालीगत भेदभाव, कानुनी स्रोतहरूमा सीमित पहुँच, र गहिरो जरा गाडेको सामाजिक असमानताहरूको सामना गर्छन् जसले तिनीहरूलाई समाजमा पूर्ण रूपमा भाग लिनबाट रोक्छ। ल्याकले यो खाडललाई पूरा गर्न कदम चाल्छ नि:शुल्क कानुनी सहायता, कानुनी परामर्श, प्रतिनिधित्व, र अधिकारमा आधारित वकालतअन्यायलाई चुनौती दिन र आफ्नो मौलिक अधिकार दाबी गर्न उनीहरूलाई सशक्त बनाउँदै।
कानुनी सशक्तिकरण कार्यक्रमहरू, सामुदायिक पहुँच र जनचेतना अभियानहरू मार्फत, ल्याकले सीमान्तकृत व्यक्तिहरूलाई उनीहरूको सुरक्षा गर्ने कानूनहरूको बारेमा जानकारी गराउने र शोषण, दुर्व्यवहार वा न्यायको अस्वीकार विरुद्ध आफूलाई बचाउन सुसज्जित बनाउने कुरा सुनिश्चित गर्दछ। संस्थाले कानुनी सुधार र नीति कार्यान्वयनलाई प्रभाव पार्ने काम पनि गर्दछ ताकि कानूनहरू कागजमा मात्र समावेशी नहोस् तर व्यवहारमा सक्रिय रूपमा लागू होस्। नसुनेका कुरा सुनेर र नदेखिने कुराको वकालत गरेर, ल्याकले अझ न्यायपूर्ण र समावेशी समाज सिर्जना गर्ने प्रयास गर्दछ जहाँ कोही पनि पछाडि छैन।, र प्रत्येक व्यक्ति - उनीहरूको पृष्ठभूमि जस्तोसुकै भए पनि - न्याय, मर्यादा र अवसरमा समान पहुँच छ।
