Anita Neupane Thapalia is a women rights and human Right Lawyer in Nepal. She has obtainedher LLM degree from Liverpool John Moore University, United Kingdom. She has been affiliated with Legal Aid and Consultancy Centre (LACC) in different capacity such as a litigation lawyer, trainer and program coordinator. As a program coordinator, she has successfully completed various projects.
She has served as a trainer and mentor, and has contributed to strengthening the capacities ofcommunity people, women law student and other concerned stakeholders. As a litigation lawyer she has not only represented her client at court but also filed various public interest litigations (PIL) in Supreme Court of Nepal to protect and promote the right of women and marginalized groups. Currently, she is serving as an executive chair person of Legal Aid and Consultancy Centre (LACC).
She has also involved in various researches, study and has also participated in international trainings, conference as participants, presenter, moderator and panelist in various countries. She has been playing vital role I Nepal to promote Pro Bono Services in Nepal. She played a leading role to conduct 8th Asia Pro Bono Conference successfully in Nepal on 2019.
